And his third book Deadfall. debuted to rave reviews!

ABOUT THE BOOKS

House of Dark Shadows
(Dreamhouse Kings Book 1)

Dream house...or bad dream?
When the Kings move from L.A. to a secluded small town, fifteen-year-old Xander is beyond disappointed. He and his friends loved to create amateur films . . . but the tiny town of Pinedale is the last place a movie buff and future filmmaker wants to land.

But he, David, and Toria are captivated by the many rooms in the old Victorian fixer-upper they moved into--as well as the heavy woods surrounding the house.

They soon discover there's something odd about the house. Sounds come from the wrong directions. Prints of giant, bare feet appear in the dust. And when David tries to hide in the linen closet, he winds up in locker 119 at his new school.

Then the really weird stuff kicks in: they find a hidden hallway with portals leading off to far-off places--in long-ago times. Xander is starting to wonder if this kind of travel is a teen's dream come true . . . or his worst nightmare.

Watcher In The Woods
(Dreamhouse Kings Book 2)

It's not just the house that's keeping secrets.
Pretending everything's all right is harder than it sounds. But the Kings know that even if they told the truth about the bizarre things happening in their house, no one would believe them. They're hyper-focused on rescuing their lost family member before anyone finds out what's going on.

But when a stranger shows up to take their house, their options start dwindling fast. Why would he be so interested in a run-down old place? And what secret is he hiding--just as he hides the scars that crisscross his body?

The mystery gets stranger with each passing day. Will the Kings be able to find a way to harness the house's secrets and discover who is watching their every move before another gets snatched into an unknown world?

The Dreamhouse Kings Series has three contests that you will not want to miss...Dream the Scene, a weekly "Thanks For Reading Trivia contest, and the Dreamhouse Kings Street Team contest. There are also free bookplates that you can request, and a chapter of each book that you can download!

MY REVIEWS:
Well, earlier I reviewed the 1st book and I'll be reviewing the 2nd book in more detail in July so I'm just going to sum them both up this time with a couple quick statements.

I really think you'll love these books if:
  1. You can think outside the box
  2. You like mystery/suspense
  3. You like books that keep you turning the pages, quickly!
  4. You are prepared to be left hanging until books #3 & #4 come out in January
If you can agree with those things then these books would be perfect for you - I loved them!

I am going to do a double giveaway on these books - leave a comment telling me where you would go if you could go anywhere in the world for a short visit. Be sure to leave your email addy on the post and I will pull for a winner of both books! They are beautiful hardback books too :-) So be sure to enter and have a chance to win!

When I think of wonderful destinations that would be meaningful and fascinating to visit it has to be Southern France and Northern Italy. This part of the continent appeals to me greatly. Your giveaways are lovely. thanks.

This question is timely and resounds with me. Never having had the opportunity, travel is my number one objective in life. I feel it would be so beneficial and broaden my horizons. If I could visit one place it would have to be the entire country of Italy. Charming towns, historical beauty and culinary delights.
Love your unique giveaway.

If I could go anywhere in the world, I'd go to Paris this weekend for the wedding of one of my former students! I'm dreaming about that one, sad that I can't be there. Greedy person that I am, I'd also like to visit the Grand Canyon, Smoky Mountains, and Niagara Falls.

As fot the books, I would love to have them to share with some teens that I've been working with. A god temptation. Ha, that was a typo, but I'm leaving it, becuase I want them to get a bigger picture of who God is.

Thanks

Vicenza, Italy would be great to go to. We got to go there in 2000 when our first grandchild was born and since we "know the ropes" a little on how to get around, it would be great to go back and relax and really enjoy it more. Maybe broaden our exploring. It is only a 45 minute trip by train to Venice too. Can't beat that too much.

Also, I think I can definitely say I am working on thinking outside the box and I already am doing the other three things that prepare me for these books.

Please enter me in your drawing. I can hardly wait to read them. Sounds like another adventure my husband and I would enjoy together. Thanks.

Going through some difficult and lonely times right now, so if I could go anywhere for a short time it would be to Wisconsin to visit all my family there. I would love to spend time with my mom & sister, and other family members.

If this trip would take place AFTER this "stuff" is all over, I would want to go to Pompeii, Rome with my mom, sister, and any interested kids. :) We all love history and archeaology, and have been fascinated with the whole story of Pompeii.

These books sound fantastic! If I could go for a short visit anywhere in the world, I would choose a place right here in the USA, and that would be Maine. Since I love suspense, that state seems to be the natural place for it.

Please enter me in the drawing for these two books! Thank you for this opportunity.

I think I would love to go visit the Galapagos Islands for a short visit, not a long one. But it's a place I've heard about since I was a little girl and it has a mystique about it for me.
