MY REVIEW:
I kind of stumbled on this book and I'm so glad I did. This is not just another historical romance. This is a beautiful story of redemption that is poignantly portrayed through Laura and Brand. I was quite swept away in the mystery of Laura's background and where her shame came from. And then seeing where Brand had come from and where he was at this point, it was moving. Can you ever truly escape your past, or will it follow you no matter where you go? There were a lot of elements to this book that really gripped me and I am excited to see the other books coming out in this series.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Jill Marie Landis is the bestselling author of over twenty novels. She has won numerous awards for her sweeping emotional romances, such as Summer Moon and Magnolia Creek. In recent years, as market demands turned to tales of vampires, erotica, and hotter, sexier historical romances, Jill turned to writing Inspirational Western Romances for Steeple Hill Books. She truly feels back in the saddle again, working on stories that are a joy to write. With her toes in the sand and head in the clouds, Jill now lives in Hawaii with her husband, Steve.
