MY REVIEW:
I read the first book in this series when it originally came out and I knew we had a new speculative fiction/fantasy voice on our hands. Somehow I missed the second one in this series and then picked up the third book. Alot has happened since the first book ended and it took me a little while to figure out who everyone was again and what was going on. That is to be expected anytime you pick up in the middle. I don't recommend doing that, it is much smarter to start at the beginning and just go straight through enjoying everything as you go. Despite my rebellious nature of skipping around in the series, I was still able to meet back up with the characters and enjoy this story of love lost, love found, dragons and knights, evil and good... it is quite wonderful. I just suggest you start at the beginning and go in order!
